Erasmus+ en EASD Burgos

Esuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño de Burgos (EASD Burgos)

The College was founded in 1973. It is a public centre dependent on the Castila y León Government offering regulated studies in the area of art education in Plastic Arts and Design.

Our institution started its internationalization path in 2007 and it is currently fully committed to it within Erasmus+, for the period 2021-2027 with the Erasmus Charter and The Erasmus Statement Policy.

The most important objectives for the Erasmus policy in our school are:

  1. To improve both the quality of education and the students and teachers’ training.
  2. To develop policies which are able to generate equal opportunities for all students.
  3. To promote respect and tolerance to other forms of action and organization.
  4. To develop student-teacher exchanges with other Higher Educational institutions to acquire knowledge and experience, both as regards the Educative Level and linguistic and socio-cultural levels.
  5. To create an environment and an international atmosphere among students.
  6. To ensure that there is a continuous project in our school in order to improve its management and, thus, to incorporate the results of these experiments carried out in the working organization of the centre and the teaching process.
  7. To link these students and teachers’ experiences to the research in all possible areas, bearing in mind the length of the stay, the profile of the participants and the possibilities of Higher Educational institutions in the host countries.
  8. To expand job opportunities according to the professional profile of the students both in Spain and in the rest of Europe through their exchange experiences (such as keeping in touch with people or the knowledge of their culture).
  9. To continue with our plan to communicate and disseminate mobility programs, specifically, the Erasmus program, through our website and other media.

Our values

The values we pursue and those we believe in are centred on four pillars:

We seek to develop an approach to content, skills and methodologies which is both comprehensive and up-to-date. This is achieved by providing quality training and guaranteeing the qualifications of future plastic arts and design professionals in line with the social, productive and cultural environment.

Our teachings have a professional nature and we take a special interest in integrating academic activities with those which guarantee direct contact with the realities of the labour market through working and collaborating with various institutions, companies and associations in our national and international environment.

We strive to create a working atmosphere which encourages participants and endows autonomy and self-confidence.

We think that both creativity and innovation are two of the most powerful driving forces of a society’s development which, enhanced with artisan techniques, give us a differentiating value which we must promote and communicate.

We value working as an individual as well as in a team among students, lecturers and market experts which generates a proactive, continuous and combined learning process.

We opt for a methodology which helps to give a global and comprehensive view of the teachings. This principle has an essentially practical character where the project is key to the whole learning process.

We consider it important to develop initiatives which involve contact with our environment and sharing knowledge with it: project exhibitions, cycles of conferences, workshops, visits to exhibitions, cultural tours, etc.

We want life in our School to be characterised by a respectful, friendly and equal environment which creates a climate of trust and allows its members to express themselves freely.

We firmly believe that our School is a place where we can work, learn and live.
